Autosport Werks has a legacy steeped in dedication, expertise, and a passion for automotive care. Originally founded as Bimmer Works in Boulder, the shop transitioned to its current location in 2001 under the leadership of Calvin Parker. For over two decades, Calvin built a reputation for excellence and reliability. In 2019, Ben Burns took ownership, bringing his lifelong love of European vehicles and deep respect for customer relationships to the shop. Ben’s roots in the automotive world run deep, growing up in repair shops owned by his father and grandfather. Under his guidance, Autosport Werks has continued to evolve while staying true to its core values of trust, transparency, and unmatched service.
Ben Burns grew up under the hood of a car. As a third Generation automotive technician, you could say the business is in his blood. He worked at his father’s shop on and off his entire life. In 2009 he got serious about honing his craft. Surrounded by a team of skilled professionals and a father who lived and died by the wrench, he gained hands-on experience and developed a customer-first mindset that would become a cornerstone of his career. This chapter laid the foundation for his future endeavors, shaping his commitment to excellence and his belief in building strong relationships with every customer.
In 2012, Ben Burns moved to Colorado with his family, taking a position as a technician in Breckenridge. While the role allowed him to continue his work with European vehicles, he quickly realized that the pay wouldn’t be enough to support his growing family. This realization led to a pivotal moment that drove Ben to think bigger; The industry needed to change and automotive technicians needed to be given a path that would allow them to make a livable wage. This led Ben to start searching for a business where he could put his beliefs into play.
In 2024, Autosport Werks had grown out of their current location and expanded to a new building at 11604 teller st. Just down the road. With this 20,000 sqft. facility that used to be a machine shop, they had a blank canvas with which to build a custom repair shop with state of the art technology that would allow them to better service the ever evolving vehicles that they work on.
